Meet Heather
My name is Heather, I recently left my job of 9 years to pursue my dream of running a boarding kennel where all dogs are welcome.
Animals have been my greatest passion since I was a little girl. Since then my life has revolved around loving, caring for, and understanding animals. What started as a childhood passion has grown into a lifelong commitment, with nearly two decades of experience in animal welfare.

A Lifetime of Experience
Throughout my career I’ve worked in many areas of animal welfare, from kennel attendant to canine behavior manager and veterinary medicine. Each experience has shaped the way I care for dogs and strengthened my belief that every dog is an individual who deserves to be understood, respected, and loved for exactly who they are.
A Special Place in My Heart
Canine behavior has always held a special place in my heart. I have a soft spot for dogs who need a little extra patience, understanding, or reassurance. I believe that even the dogs who struggle the most deserve a safe place where they can feel comfortable being themselves, without judgment.
Special-needs dogs also have a huge piece of my heart. Whether it’s a tiny, fragile senior who needs a little extra TLC or a big pittie with medical needs, I find so much joy in caring for the dogs who require that extra level of attention. My friends have even started calling these dogs “Heather Specials,” and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

At Nuzzle & Nosh Pet Care, my goal is to provide more than just a place for your dog to stay. I want every dog in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and accepted for who they are. Whether they’re playful, shy, quirky, anxious, seniors, or need a little extra medical attention they all deserve compassionate, individualized care.
